What is parkoo?

parkoo is an app that connects drivers looking for parking with individuals and businesses who have a private parking space they aren't using. Drivers find and book a space near their destination; owners decide when their space is available.

How do I find and book a parking space?

Open the parkoo app on iPhone or Android, search an address or use your location, and pick an available space on the map. Choose your time and confirm the booking — you'll get directions and access instructions for the space.

How do I share my parking space?

Create a free account, add your space with its address, photos and access details, and set the days and hours it's available. Our team reviews each new space before it goes live, and you can pause it or change its availability at any time.

Is parkoo free?

Creating an account and listing a parking space is free, and drivers pay no extra fees on top of the price shown. On each completed booking, parkoo keeps a 15% commission and a small service fee from the owner's share to run the service.

Can businesses use parkoo?

Yes. Companies can share unused parking spaces outside working hours, manage several spaces and team members from one dashboard, and give employees access to company parking. Learn more at parkoo.app/business.

Can I change my booking's duration?

Yes — tap Change duration on any upcoming or active booking. More than 24h before your start time you can shorten or extend, subject to the spot's availability; you'll see the extra charge or refund before confirming. Within 24h of the start time, and once your booking is active, you can only extend.

How do I cancel a booking?

You can cancel upcoming bookings by tapping Cancel. A full refund applies for cancellations made more than 24h before the start time, a 50% refund applies between 1h and 24h before, and no refund applies less than 1h before the start time.

Can I cancel a booking as a host?

Yes — open the upcoming booking from your host Bookings tab and tap Cancel booking. You'll pick a reason (or describe it under "Other"), the driver is notified immediately, and they receive a full refund. Cancelling repeatedly is tracked and may prompt a review of your account.

When will I be charged?

Your card is verified when you confirm a booking, but you're only actually charged once the booking is completed — via our payment partner Stripe. Extending your booking doesn't create a separate charge; it's included in the one charge at the end.

How do payments work for owners?

As soon as a booking ends, your earnings are added to your parkoo balance, showing the booking price, parkoo’s 15% commission and a small flat service fee. 48 hours later, they’re moved to your Stripe balance. Once that balance is above the payout minimum (Stripe's payout fee plus its minimum payout amount), tap Payout: the fee is deducted from each payout triggered.

Is my payment secure?

All payments are made through our payment partner Stripe — the leading payment service provider on the market. We never store any card or bank information on our own servers.

Which payment methods work?

We accept credit and debit cards as well as your preferred digital payment methods. We enforce ourselves to make other national payment methods available across different countries.

Which countries and currencies does parkoo support?

Where is parkoo available?. parkoo can be downloaded worldwide. Parking spaces can currently be listed in every EU country, plus Canada, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, and drivers from anywhere can book them. We're working on bringing parkoo to more countries, including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

What currency will I be charged in?. Every booking is priced and paid in the local currency of the parking spot itself — a spot in Paris is priced in EUR, a spot in Zurich in CHF — regardless of which country you're booking from. Your card is simply charged in that currency directly.

How do I verify my identity?

Go to Profile → Identity verification and follow the steps. Once submitted our team will make sure to verify your identity within 24h to 48h.

Is parkoo GDPR compliant?

Yes, we process data under Swiss and EU law, with data hosted in the EU.

How do PRK points work?

What are PRK points?. PRK is parkoo's loyalty currency. Both drivers and owners earn PRK points through activity on the platform. Points accumulate in a single shared Rewards balance.

What is a PRK point worth?. 1 PRK = 0.01 in your local currency. Your balance is always shown in both PRK and your local currency equivalent so you always know exactly what you have.

How do I earn PRK points?. PRK points are earned through your activity on the app: 3 PRK for every 1.00 you pay for a completed booking with your own payment method, and 1 PRK for every 1.00 paid for a booking at your space. You also earn points for leaving a written review or receiving a positive one, for reaching milestones, and for referring a friend once they complete their first three bookings. No points are earned on the part of a booking paid with PRK, or on bookings your company pays for.

How do I use my PRK?. At checkout, expand the parkoo rewards section and enter how many PRK to apply or tap Max. You can use up to your full PRK balance, up to the full booking total — a booking can be fully paid with PRK. Any remaining amount is charged to your saved payment method.

Do PRK points expire?. No. Your PRK points never expire. They are yours to keep and use whenever you like, with no time limit.

How does the referral programme work?

Sharing your code. Find your personal code under Profile → Refer a friend. Once a friend signs up with it and completes their first 3 bookings paid with their own payment method, you receive +300 PRK automatically.

Signing up with a code. Enter a friend's code on the sign-up screen. After your own first 3 completed bookings paid with your own payment method, you receive +300 PRK as a welcome bonus.

When are points credited?. Points appear in your Rewards balance as soon as your friends' 3rd qualifying booking is completed and paid. Cancelled bookings do not count and there is no cap — you earn +300 PRK for every friend who becomes an active member of the community.
